Terms of service
These terms apply when you buy from the Finding Flock store (findingflock.com/store and its Shopify checkout). By placing an order you agree to them, along with our shipping, refund and privacy policies.
Who we are. Finding Flock is an independent project that maps automated license plate reader cameras. The store sells shirts, hats, stickers, signs, mugs and similar items to support that work: once the costs of making, shipping and selling each item are covered, all proceeds go back into Finding Flock, keeping the site and its servers running and documenting more cameras. Parody and commentary. Our products are expressive merchandise commenting on automated license plate reader surveillance. Finding Flock is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Flock Safety, Inc., any camera vendor, or the DeFlock project; "Flock" is used only to name the company whose cameras the designs are about.
No interference. Nothing we sell is designed or intended to obstruct, disable, evade, or interfere with any camera, license plate, or roadway device, and nothing on this site encourages anyone to do so. Obscuring a license plate is against the law nearly everywhere.
Signs and car items. Follow local law and any HOA rules when placing yard signs, and don't place them in the public right-of-way where that's prohibited. Car magnets should be removed before car washes.
Products and images. Everything is printed to order by our print-on-demand partner, Printify. Product photos are digital renderings; colors, sizes and print placement on the item you receive may differ slightly.
Orders and prices. Prices are in US dollars. An order is accepted when we confirm it by email. We reserve the right to correct pricing or listing errors and to cancel and refund any order placed at an incorrect price, and to refuse or cancel an order we can't fulfill. We ship to US addresses only.
Shipping and returns. Shipping costs, times and our made-to-order return terms are set out in the shipping and refund policies, which are part of these terms.
Intellectual property. The designs, artwork and text in the store belong to Finding Flock or are used with permission. Buying a product doesn't give you the right to reproduce its designs.
Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim about a product is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
Changes. We may update these terms; the version posted when you order applies to that order.
